Dr Blackburn has many years of experience in helping people who are in distress, using her skills as a Chartered and Registered  Clinical Psychologist.

In order to best serve her clients, she has completed the following substantial courses or awards involving coursework and relevant experience of one to three years:

  • BA honours in Psychology
  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology
  • Post Graduate Diploma in post 16 Adult Education
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Therapy
  • Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing Therapy Level I, intermediate and II
  • Certificate in Health & social Care Management
  • Bond Solon & Cardiff University Expert Witness certificate in Civil Law
  • Supervision skills & Register of Applied Psychology Practice Supervisors (RAPP’s)
  • British Psychological Society - Associate Fellow

Dr Blackburn completes many hours of ongoing professional development each year.

This is to help her to provide clients with a quality, effective and up to date treatment service.

Her ongoing training includes many short courses; substantial further certificate courses; reading; and wider tasks, to develop and maintain key helping skills.
